September 1, 2019 - Ken Schrader Bags Seventh Bill Oldani Memorial Win |
Ken Schrader enjoyed an eventful slate of racing over the Labor Day weekend.
After more than his fair share of bad luck on Friday night in Modified action at Tri City Speedway (Pontoon Beach, Illinois), things kicked into high gear for the rest of the weekend.
On Saturday at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, Schrader became the oldest driver to qualify on the pole for an ARCA event. He went on to record an eighth-place finish in the night's finale.
Meanwhile, he qualified on the pole for the DIRTcar UMP Modified portion of the weekend's festivities on the sprawling 1-mile oval. Backing up his qualifying performance for the annual Bill Oldani Memorial, Schrader streaked to the feature win on Sunday. It marked the seventh time he's won the event in his Federated Auto Parts No. 9 Hunt Brothers Pizza Modified.
Ken now has eight wins this season.
