September 28, 2017 - KSR, Theriault earn ARCA's 2017 General Tire Superspeedway Championship
1 TOLEDO, Ohio (Sept. 28, 2017) -- The special awards keep mounting for Ken Schrader Racing (KSR) and driver Austin Theriault. After already securing the Bill France 4 Crown and the Sioux Chief Short Track Challenge titles, the current ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards national championship leading team has clinched the General Tire Superspeedway Challenge championship following their victory Friday night at Kentucky Speedway.

With just the Kansas Speedway finale remaining, KSR holds an insurmountable 245-points lead over the team's closest rival, Joe Gibbs Racing and driver Riley Herbst. In a thrilling green-white-checker finish, Theriault held off MDM Motorsports teammates Zane Smith and Sheldon Creed at Kentucky to secure the title.

"Just so much thanks to Ken Schrader Racing and all the guys who made this dream season come true," said Theriault. "We don't always have the fastest cars but we stay consistent.
