Concord, North Carolina (September 1, 2017) -- Brandon Grosso will make his Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) Racing Series debut at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds in DuQuoin, Illinois on Monday September 4, 2017.
Fresh off a solid second place finish at Concord Speedway in North Carolina in the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car race and a 15th place finish at Georgetown, Delaware in his first start in a big block Dirt Modified on Wednesday night, Grosso is preparing to take his success on dirt and asphalt this year and combine those talents on the one-mile dirt oval.
This is a natural progression for the 17-year-old driver from New Jersey. Grosso started racing at age 5 and competed in National and Regional USAC quarter midget events amassing 250 wins and 17 Championships. He was the first driver to receive special permission to compete in a full size racecar at the age of 15 allowing him to move into Dirt Sportsman and Dirt Crate Modified competition in 2015.
Grosso’s focus this year has been on a full schedule of Late Model Stock Car racing where he is currently 5th in points in the CARS Tour Series running as a teammate to Myatt Snider, son of NBC Sports announcer Marty Snider.
Grosso will compete at DuQuoin in a Hillenburg-Schrader Racing #11 entry prepared by Ken Schrader Racing and sponsored by FDP Friction Science, a leading manufacturer of brake pads for the automotive industry, (www.fdpbrakes.com). Veteran crew chief, Matt Weber will lead the team’s efforts. >>READ MORE
