July 23, 2016 - Battery Issues Put a Damper on Top-10 Run for Kurzejewski
Indianapolis, Indiana – July 24, 2016)  Matt Kurzejewski and his Ansell-Menards team had high hopes going into Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis.  When the checkered flag fell on the Sioux Chief PowerPEX 200, Kurzejewski finished 16th due to battery issues late in the event.

Kurzejewski, the 25-year-old from Mansfield, Pennsylvania placed 10th and eighth on the practice speed charts during the two practice sessions on Friday morning.

“We worked a lot on getting our Ansell-Menards Toyota to rotate the center of the corner a little better in both practice sessions,” Kurzejewski stated.

Following his qualifying run, Kurzejewski said, “The car was really loose for qualifying, that’s typically not a bad thing but I didn’t want to take any chances, qualifying 13th wasn’t what we were hoping for.” <<MORE>>
