Ross Kenseth finished fourth in the No. 52 Federated Auto Parts/Boyne Machine Chevrolet at Kentucky Speedway in Saturday's Crosley Brands 150 ARCA Racing Series event.

Kenseth qualified sixth on Friday, but rain delayed the start of the event 17 hours, to a 1:19 p.m. green flag on Saturday. 

Rain again plagued the event, causing an extended caution flag only 10 laps shy of halfway. Most teams elected to stay out during the caution, afraid that rain would set in and prematurely end the event at the halfway point. Kenseth, running fifth at the time was among those who elected to stay out, but when it became apparent the race would resume, those leaders who stayed out came to pit road for gas and tires at the end of the 18-lap caution period.

Restarting 12th, Kenseth wasted no time making up for lost track position, aggressively racing his way back up the seventh in the matter of one-and-a-half laps. After a lap 69 caution, Kenseth and the No. 52 team elected to stay out and restarted sixth.

Over the course of the final 25 lap run to the checkers, Kenseth was able to make up two positions while fighting a tight-handling race car, which was only made worse by traffic.

The fourth-place finish was Kenseth's third straight top five in ARCA--a series, where he's yet to finish worse than six in four career starts.

"It was a good day overall," said Kenseth. "We just missed it a little on short runs and we were too tight in traffic. Hats off to these guys who worked really hard on it all week. Restarts were good in the outside lane, but we just got real tight on the bottom. Huge thanks to Boyne and Federated for giving me the chance to come back and work with these guys at Schrader Racing. It's always a lot of fun."
