Schrader Racing into August
Concord, N.C. (July 31, 2014) - Ken Schrader and the KSR team had a crazy July, and August looks as though we may have a repeat! In July , Ken made the BST Tour through Colorado and Kansas, garnering a win at El Paso County Speedway, a second-place finish at Phillips County Speedway and a fourth at Thomas County Speedway. He traveled back to his roots and drove a Silver Crown car at Lucas Oil Raceway to a tenth-place finish.
The team celebrated a fourth-place finish with Ken in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the famed Eldora Speedway on July 23.
KSR, Inc. fielded two cars at Lucas Oil Raceway for the July 25 ARCA event. Ken finished seventh in the #52 Federated Auto Parts car and Matt Tifft had a fifth-place finish in the #11 OTM Distributing-Federated Chevy.
To close out the month, Ken raced and WON at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on July 30.
Ken and the dirt team will race at Federated Auto Parts Raceway in Pevely, MO on August 1 and 2. His schedule will be a mix of dirt and pavement for the remainder of the month.
The KSR ARCA team will race four consecutive weekends, beginning with Matt Tifft driving in Pocono (Long Pond, PA) on August 1, followed by Berlin Raceway, (Marne, MI) on August 9 with Schrader behind the wheel, then Illinois State Fairgrounds (Springfield, IL) on August 17, again with Schrader driving, and Matt Tifft finishing out the stretch at Madison International Speedway (Madison, WI) on August 24.
At the North Carolina shop, the crew is starting to prep for the fall races, the team’s annual fall fundraising campaign and activities at the shop. Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 18 when KSR, Inc. will co-host its annual car show with the Harrisburg Cruisers.
