The ARCA season is heating up as well! Matt Tifft and Ken Schrader finished third and fourth, respectively, at Toledo Speedway (Toledo, Ohio) on May 18. The race felt like a definite homecoming for Tifft. He had his own cheering section on hand for the race of about 200 friends, who made the trip from his hometown of Hinckley, Ohio to show support for the talented, young pilot.
This past weekend, Tifft had a podium finish in the June 1 ARCA race at New Jersey Motorsports Park. He drove the #52 Federated Auto Parts Chevy to an impressive third place finish!
On Saturday, June 7, Tifft will test his driving skills at the uniquely configured, Pocono Raceway (Pocono, Pennsylvania) for the first time in his racing career in the ARCA Pocono 200, which starts at 1 p.m eastern. The race will be televised.
Although Schrader had plans to race last weekend, the weather did not cooperate with the veteran. Both dirt races on his schedule were nixed by Mother Nature. He will be behind the wheel of the Federated Auto Parts Modified this week, making a sweep through Nebraska and Kansas. Schrader will return to ARCA competition on June 13, at Michigan International Speedway (Brooklyn, Michigan). He will race in Elko, Minnesota in the Akona 250 Presented by Federated Car Care, on June 21, making it two ARCA appearances in as many weeks.
In other KSR family news we want to congratulate Matt Tifft on his high school graduation and the awards he received! Sheldon Schrader will also be graduating from high school in a few weeks.
Both young men will be attending college in the fall. Good luck to our grads! |
